Avatar the Last Airbender: Live in Concert

Two-hour show with a live orchestra bringing the show’s iconic musical score to life, in perfect harmony with highlights and favorite moments from the series. Taiko and erhu share the spotlight with violins and clarinets, while the series' most beloved scenes play out on screen, bringing viewers into the Avatar world to experience the series’ most memorable moments with Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Zuko and more.

Premiered at Lincoln Center's Summer for the City, the production highlights the brilliance of women across generations and disciplines. Anchored by a powerful collaboration with Walker Wear’s The Future Been Female, Passing the Crown honors the intersection of streetwear, music, and culture, amplifying the voices of historically underrepresented women.

Limitless {AI}: Superstrings
[Music Supervisor/Cellist, 2022]
For ArtsDistrict Brooklyn (a/k/a AD/BK), Ferdi & Eylul Alici have reimagined and expanded their original "Poetic AI" work as "Limitless AI," a 60-minute show, and for the first time, unite five chapters of their work in which audiences move freely through an expansive space of swirling color and light, with images appearing and disappearing in a visual and auditory sensation that have captivated visitors from around the world.
The finale of "Limitless AI," titled Superstrings, is an interactive work that features a live musical performance at every show. Ouchhh Studio's AI computer collaborates with musicians and audience members to create art in real-time. Every single showing of "Limitless AI" will be different, never to be repeated again. -

Sound Off! Music for Bail is a dynamic collective of musicians, activists, and thinkers dedicated to raising money for abolitionist organizations and bail funds across the country, rethinking notions of public safety as they relate to real-life communities, and playing great music.
Sound Off! Music for Bail presented a String Quartet Residency in partnership with Talent Unlimited High School.

Brooklyn Public Library: Night of Ideas

Night of Ideas is a 6-hour FREE LATE-NIGHT FESTIVAL showcasing contemporary philosophical thought through talks and debates with top public intellectuals, professors, and environmentalists that explore philosophy in playful and provocative ways. The festival also includes live music, film screenings and art installations with guest lecturers, musicians and artists from the U.S, France and around the world.

New York Philharmonic Education Outreach
For more than 25 years, Philharmonic Schools has provided elementary schools with the opportunity to integrate orchestral music into school communities through culture, history, and other core subject areas. Philharmonic Teaching Artists use a range of orchestral repertoire, chamber music, and other genres to teach students, teachers, and families how to listen, perform, and compose, providing them with tools to enjoy concerts in their schools and elsewhere. The program employs music as an essential element of the classroom, of the school community, and as a tool to explore social and emotional expression.

Brooklyn Public Library's University Open Air provides immigrant teachers, professors, and academics, who were trained outside of the U.S., an opportunity to share their knowledge with the public by welcoming students to enjoy free classes in collaboration with the Prospect Park Alliance. The September semester takes place on the grounds around the Prospect Park Boathouse while the spring residency is housed in one of the library's branch locations.

Tisch Drama's New Studio on Broadway (NSB) integrates foundational acting training with vocal and physical techniques drawing upon the repertoire of the American musical, contemporary American plays, and the traditional classical canon to hone the actor's instrument in all aspects of all three disciplines essential to be an actor in the musical theatre: acting, singing, and dancing.

Dreamgirls performed by an orchestra and ensemble of MUSE and Maestra members with Broadway stars as the leads. This sitzprobe—the rehearsal when a musical's cast sing through the score for the first time with an orchestra—features Sharon Catherine Brown as Effie Melody White; Ta'Nika Renée Gibson as Deena Jones; Cicily Daniels, Brandi Chavonne Massey, Brenda Braxton as Lorell Robinson/Michelle Morris; Richard E. Waits as Curtis Taylor, Jr.; Bobby Daye as C.C. White; Dennis Stowe as Marty; and Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee as James Thunder Early.

Every month, Playbill presents a concert straight from our office in Times Square. The Playbill Songwriter Series is a celebration of diversity, as emerging composers perform songs from their catalogue. Singing alongside them are some of New York’s most talented vocalists, including some Broadway alums, lending their voices to these up-and-coming artists’ works. These artists, spanning a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds and gender identities, perform at the Playbill Sing for Hope Piano, which is adorned with legendary Playbills from the past and present of Broadway.

The soaring score features powerful songs including “This Is The Moment,” “In His Eyes,” Someone Like You,” and “A New Life.”
